What is Playstation Now? Is It Worth A Playstation Now Subscription?

 

Playsation Now or PS Now is a paid subscription available for PS4, PS5 and PC Windows 10 consoles where if you join a PS Now subscription you can download and play for free hundreds of game titles that will always be updated and added over time. The download feature is currently only available for certain titles and only available for PS Now users who play via PS4 or PS5, those who access PS Now via PC must play streaming.

To play, there are several conditions that must be met to use the Playstation Now service:

• Own a PS4 and PS5 console or a Windows 10 PC
• Have an internet connection with a wired LAN/Wired connection
• Have a US PSN Account
• Have a Playsation Now voucher or buy from Playstation Store to subscribe
• For the PS4 console, you must install PS Now from the Playstation Store
• For the PS5 console, you can access the PS Now menu from Home or the main display
• For PC Windows 10 must install PS Now App for PC

*Things to note:

For now, PS4 and PS5 users in the Southeast Asian region cannot enjoy PS Now. Currently the service is only available for 12 countries including Europe, US and Japan. So if those from the Asian Region include (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and others) you can create a US, European or Japanese PSN account so you can subscribe.

In terms of the game catalog, up to now there are very many in the PS Now library, starting from games on PS2, PS3, PS4 and PS5 and there are also several AAA games that you can play. Of course, this is a distinct advantage compared to having to buy the games one by one. PS Now also often adds to its game catalog, as on January 04, 2022, there are 6 new games that you can download and play.  

For the game itself, there are several games that can be played offline, although they are limited to only certain titles and only for PS4 and PS5 users because PC users cannot download games from PS Now and can only be played streaming. You can have access to games on PS Now until you unsubscribe or the game is pulled from the PS Now library by the Playstation Party.
