For the game pad settings

  • in dolphin select option => gamecube pad settings => joystick settings

If you use a joystick, after inserting it into the laptop usb joystick, then the settings are:

  • Button --> A=cross , B=Round , Y=Triangle , X=Square , Z=L2 , Start + Start
  • Triggers --> L=L1 , R=R1
  • D-Pad --> up=up, down=down, right=right, left=left
  • Analog Main Stick(Analog left) , Analog C-Stick(Analog Right) --> up=analog (right/left) up , down=analog (right/left) down , right=analog (right/left) right , left =analog (right/left) left

If there are Wii games with extension .CISO and .WBFS files, it can't be read with Dolphin, so you must first convert them to an .ISO file, one of the applications with Wii Backup File System Manager.
